I'm surprised nobody has commented on your picture yet! My eye was immediately drawn to the flame of the candle. The high angle and close up of the candle really show its dominance in the picture. I also like your choice of lighting- I really feel as if this candle could be the only thing lighting up a room.

This is a really interesting photo! I feel on the verge of diving into the warm yellow flame due to the photo's high camera angle. The dark shadowing around the candle as well as the photo's close up draws me nearer to the bright calm flame. If I get any closer to the flicker of fire, I might just burn myself! The candle seems apart of some meditation session that I have peeked in on. I love how this photo makes me feel relaxed, sleepy, and at peace with everything! One simple candle is all it takes to soothe my stress! Nice photo,

Cool photo Amanda. I think this is unique and distinct from the others in that it is a picture of a lightened candle in a dark setting. The viewer is automatically attracted to the light source, which is the only ommiter of light in the picture.
The high angle you used makes the viewer feel like they are holding the candle. This i guess creates a solemn and peaceful mood, probably of reflection of someone's death.
